Do you have any suggestions for strengthening the inclusiveness of our department (i.e., helping everyone in the department to feel welcome and included regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, faculty/staff/post-doc/student status, etc.)? If you express a concern about a particular department member and don't give at least one concrete example, it is unlikely that your comment will lead to change as the individual involved might not be aware of what they have done to trigger your concern. Thanks!
Do you have any suggestions for improving any other aspect of our department?
If you are a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow or staff member, are there particular faculty members who you think do a good job of creating an inclusive climate, helping those in their lab, classes or department more generally to feel valued, respected and that they belong? If so, who are they and what do they do that contributes to their success in this arena?
Do you have any other positive feedback about our department that you would like to share?
